A Selection of Works by Claude Monet

Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe

Claude Monet worked on "Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe" (Luncheon on the Grass) between 1865 and 1866. It was intended to be a large, multi-panel painting inspired by the work of his friend and fellow artist, Édouard Manet. Despite numerous sketches and smaller sections, Monet left this ambitious project unfinished, making it one of his most significant incomplete works.

Two panels of Monet's "Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe," which was originally intended to be a large-scale painting but was left unfinished.

Rouen Cathedral

Monet's "Rouen Cathedral" series consists of over 30 paintings and captures the cathedral at different times of day and in various weather conditions to depict changing light and atmosphere.
